I had two versions of this picture; shallow and large depth of field.
I prefer this one (shallow) because even though it is actually the stone that is the point of this picture, I loved subverting that and focusing on the flowers instead.
Inspired by the work of The Dancing Mermaid, and The Artist's Way, Pen and I went out and planted stones we had painted into a local park. Here is the first of a series..
Funny how this photo is a perfect example of the title - of all the piccies I took none of them had the stone in focus!! But here I am posting the picture in the spirit of embracing my imperfections...
I love the amazing colours of the leaves when autumn is in full swing. This piccie shows just the beginning of the process and ideally I would go back again and again to follow the progress of this branch.
I love, love, LOVE this time of year. Autumn and spring are my favourite times of year and the leaves changing colour in autumn is just mesmerising to me.
This is another one of those where the picture isn't good but I really like the idea of the picture so have recorded it on this blog to remind me to try and do a much better version another time. In this case, it's getting a good picture of some cute little paw prints!
Some of the things you're taught not to do when studying photography, over/underexposing, lens flare burn out..etc. can actually work quite well as artistic photos I think!!
I am recovering from the illness that is M.E., CFS, CFIDS, CIDS - whatever you want to call it! This blog is my recovery journal back to life which includes my forays into writing and photography, oh and scrapbooking...
